Hawaii

I was lucky enough to go to Hawaii just before Quilt Market this year. We came home the Friday before Market and I had to jump into quilt bindings and pattern writing so quickly that I did not get to post about the wonderful trip we had just enjoyed.
So, better late than never!
Kauai,
Hawaii
We stayed on Kauai this year, we went with my hu
sband clients, so that means that my husband has meetings to attend and I get to enjoy the beautiful island of Kauai.
This the view from our hotel balcony, I felt very lucky t
o be able to enjoy this everyday for almost 2 weeks.
What would a trip be like with out a visit to the local quilt shop?
Even in Hawaii I took the time to find a charming shop full of amazing ideas and fabrics.
My wonderful friend Diana and I looked up the address and quickly found the Kapaia Stitchery.

The ladies in the shop were friendly, helpful and so gracious when asked to be in my pictures.
This is the 2nd time I was able to visit their store, the last time I found that they had some of the fabric I had designed for Windham Fabrics. What a surprise!

Our New Baby

Our family had a wonderful gift Monday morning, the day after Quilt Market!
My daughter gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl.
Our sweet little Gracie waited until Market was over to come and join our family.
What a blessing to have a healthy beautiful baby and a healthy beautiful daughter.
I love both of you.

All Dolled Up!

One of the best part of Market this year was visiting with all of my old friends that I have met through the years. And thanks to "All Dolled Up" I met many new friends.
Thanks for coming by and allowing me to met everyone who came to my booth you made this year worth all the hard work.

Quilt Market 2011

Quilt Market 2011 is over and it was so much fun to see all of you that I have not seen for a couple of years. I also met wonderful new friends for all over the country.
The best thing that happened to me and my family was the birth of our 2nd grand child, early Monday morning!
My daughter went to the hospital Sunday night, just after we had gotten home from Market - What good timeing for all of us.

Here are the 5 new quilts from Market this year, and a few pictures of friends and neighbors.
