New Ideas Coming

How time flies by! I just got back from a fun trip to International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas.
I went with 2 wonderful friends and we had a great time walking, talking and enjoying our time with the other designers and fabric people. I took my camera, but I was having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures.

I spent toooo much money on some of the new fabric lines coming to the stores, scissors, wonderful new embroidery threads, books, oh! it goes on and on. We were only there for 2 1/2 days, but that was enough to get in to a lot of trouble.

I have news about my fabric line that I will announce soon and new quilt ideas I hope you will like as much as I do.

Check back soon and I'll have pictures and news.

Summer Fun

This summer has gone by so fast!
School is starting next week and fall will be here before I know it.
I have been working on ideas, but nothing finished to show yet. I will keep
working so that I can show you new ideas soon!
But for now here are a few pictures of some of the thing I have been busy with the last few months.

San Fransisco, CA
We had a wonderful trip and we could even see the Golden Gate Bridge!
The next day was was not as clear and warm.
July 4th Balloon Festival in Provo, Utah
This has been a family tradition for years, we started taking our family to see the balloons when our oldest daughter was only 2 years old - that was 25 years ago.

Our newest member of our family - Grace.
What a wonderful blessing to have a new baby for our family to love and cherish.
And here I am sitting for a minute in San Fransisco!

Hi Lisa,

I did not know how to answer your question any other way, I hope you log on again to find out that I used Bliss by Moda for Cup of Blossoms. Moda is coming out with another line that looks a lot like Bliss. The colors are a little different, but it has the same look from Bonnie & Camille.

Hawaii

I was lucky enough to go to Hawaii just before Quilt Market this year. We came home the Friday before Market and I had to jump into quilt bindings and pattern writing so quickly that I did not get to post about the wonderful trip we had just enjoyed.
So, better late than never!
Kauai,
Hawaii
We stayed on Kauai this year, we went with my hu
sband clients, so that means that my husband has meetings to attend and I get to enjoy the beautiful island of Kauai.
This the view from our hotel balcony, I felt very lucky t
o be able to enjoy this everyday for almost 2 weeks.
What would a trip be like with out a visit to the local quilt shop?
Even in Hawaii I took the time to find a charming shop full of amazing ideas and fabrics.
My wonderful friend Diana and I looked up the address and quickly found the Kapaia Stitchery.

The ladies in the shop were friendly, helpful and so gracious when asked to be in my pictures.
This is the 2nd time I was able to visit their store, the last time I found that they had some of the fabric I had designed for Windham Fabrics. What a surprise!

Our New Baby

Our family had a wonderful gift Monday morning, the day after Quilt Market!
My daughter gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl.
Our sweet little Gracie waited until Market was over to come and join our family.
What a blessing to have a healthy beautiful baby and a healthy beautiful daughter.
I love both of you.

All Dolled Up!

One of the best part of Market this year was visiting with all of my old friends that I have met through the years. And thanks to "All Dolled Up" I met many new friends.
Thanks for coming by and allowing me to met everyone who came to my booth you made this year worth all the hard work.

The best thing that happened to me and my family was the birth of our 2nd grand child, early Monday morning!
My daughter went to the hospital Sunday night, just after we had gotten home from Market - What good timeing for all of us.

Here are the 5 new quilts from Market this year, and a few pictures of friends and neighbors.

Home again and time to work!

My husband and I just flew home from Hawaii this morning. We had to fly on the "Red Eye" flight, so we had to leave last night at 8:35 and arrived home at 9:30.

OK, no more complaining, I got to go to Hawaii and it was beautiful, but that means I have to finish 4 new quilts this week!

I hope you like what I have come up with! I have Cups of Posies, Birds of a Feather,
and so much more.

I also have a new fabric line coming out soon, it will be on paper for Market!

Check out our new blog for pictures of the doll blocks we have designed for you, so that you can use the patterns for what ever you can dream up.

All Dolled Up!

Spring Quilts Market is in Salt Lake City, Utah this spring. That is great news for me because I live in Salt Lake City!
In honor of Market here in our city, designers from all around our city & state have designed blocks for 2 wonderful quilts that will be on display during Market in the Riley Blake Booth.

We have each dressed a "dolls" for the blocks of the quilt. We have a blog to tell you all about the quilt and the designers behind the darling dolls. You can download the patterns from each of our blogs.
The address is -alldolledupinslc.blogspot.com

I am working on 5 new quilts, maybe 6! if time allows. I will post them as they are finished. You can see them before the store buyers see them at Market.

Starting the New Year Late!

Well I missed the whole month of January.
I have tried to sit down and post something wonderful, but life has gotten in the way.
I am working on 5 new quilts for quilt market - I will post them as soon as I get them finished.
I will have a new header as soon as I figure out what to do and I will post some of our favorite recipes for winter.
I'll be back soon!
