Back to Work, Soon

Thanksgiving is almost here - 2 days. I have not posted for a long time. Alot has been going on - I'm working on a new line with Henry Glass. I have new ideas for quilts and who knows what will happen by the time Market comes!

One of the wonderful things I have been able to do, is to go on a Cruise through the Panama Canal! Two weeks and 6 ports to visit! How beautiful the world is - colors, people and nature. I'm so blessed to have been able to see wonders we saw.

Summer is over!

Summer is over and I have been busy with new quilts and ideas. Of course I have had my family to get ready for school, but now school has started and I am working hard.

I have made a Spider Quilt! this is something new for me - at least that is what I have been told, and I finished a Christmas quilt that is waiting to be quilted. As soon as I have pictures I will post them for you to see.

I'm very sad to say that one of my quilts has been stolen from one of the stores in our city. It is the Whirlwind Quilt and it was stolen from the Mormon Handicraft store. This has never happen to me before, I hope who ever took it really had need of it and did not take it just for fun.

I have 3 new quilts that I am working on and I will keep you posted on their progress.

Enjoy this time of year and take time to remember who and want if important in you life! - Laurie

Busy Days

Addie, the light of my life!

Hi, everyone!

What a busy summer. I have spent time in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Idaho and the top of the mountians in Ogden Canyon.

We spent a week with my husband family at Powder Mountain in Ogden Canyon. We were in a beautiful place and overlooked the mountains into neighboring counties. The best part was spending time with all of my children and 1 grand daughter. Then the next week we spent 1 week in Sun Valley, Idaho. That was another great week with my kids.

What could be better than waking up and hearing your darling grandchild talking and laughing, and knowing you can be with her the rest of the day. I was so sad when they left to go home.

We rode the ski lift to the top of the mountian and I marveled at the beautiful colors of nature once again. I can't wait to put together some new ideas for quilts and Fabric. I'm working with a new fabric company, so I'll let you know when things are finalized for my new line.

Hello everyone!

I just walked in from Quilt Market in Pittsburgh. We arrived home at 11:30 this morning and I had a great time meeting and talking to the wonderful people at Market. I made new friends and new contacts that will change my life. Here are some of my pictures for you to see, and then of course the new quilts.

Our Addie is 1 Year Old!

Yesterday was Addie's 1st birthday!
Katie and Reed had a small party for her, and she did not quite understand why we were all there watching her sit in between the big boxes and bags. It was a little late for her, but after she had a little to eat she had a great time being in the center of all of the fun.

Wonderful Weekend

Hi again, I just spent the most wonderful weekend quilting and meeting new friends. I was in Brigham City, Utah at the Winter Retreat of Village Dry Goods. Village Dry Goods is a darling quilt shop on the main street of Brigham City. It is owned by two ladies that make you feel warm, welcomed and loved. Their staff is just as helpful and friendly has they are, and the food was perfect.

We were able to meet and quilt with Sandy Klop of American Jane Quilts. She was so friendly and helpful, we did not know that she was so sick that she had to have her husband take over for her during her trunk show. He was amazing! He knew every quilt she had there and the name of it before he picked them up off the table. My husband would never be able to talk about one of my quilts, let a lone know the story behind them. In the end Sandy left a little early on Saturday, we all understood and I hope she is feeling better now.

Now starts the new year for me and I have some new ideas, I'll let you know how they turn out. Thanks again to Fran and Rolane, see you soon!

A New Year!

2009 - A new year to fill with new ideas, friends and my family. I'm working on some quilt designs I am excited about. My family continues to grow and the best part of life right now is being with my darling grand daughter. I will post the quilts as soon as they are ready, time goes by too slow when I am trying to finish more than one at a time.
